Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken Recipe from 50's Prime Time Cafe

Gluten Free Fried Chicken Recipe / Photo Taken by Gluten Free & Dairy Free at WDW

Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken is one of my favorite dishes at Disney that can be made to be gluten free and allergy friendly. This dish can be made gluten free at 50's Prime Time Cafe by contacting Disney's Special Diets Department in advance or by stopping by the restaurant prior to dining. *Note: This dish takes at least 45 minutes to prepare gluten free at 50's Prime Time Cafe.

I love that I can recreate this dish easily at home!

You can see me walk through this recipe step-by-step in my YouTube video below.

Recipe yields – 2-4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken

  • 1 1/2 cups gluten free all purpose flour (Disney uses Rice Flour, only).

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon red pepper

Method:

Cut the chicken into pieces – 2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 legs, and two wings; or purchase pre-cut chicken. Clean and wash the chicken well, and keep it wet. Mix all of the above ingredients in a large bowl. Dredge each piece of chicken in the breading mixture. Deep fry each piece in hot oil until golden brown.

Serve with mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables. Version of this recipe found originally at ResortLoop.com
