Enchanted Rose Lounge Review

Drinks and Appetizers at Enchanted Rose Lounge
Enchanted Rose Lounge, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, is a Beauty & the Beast inspired lounge inspired specifically by the live action film. Formerly the location of Mizner’s, Brandon and I have both been wanting to go this lounge for a while now — though admittedly a little nostalgic for the now-closed Mizner’s. We stopped by Enchanted Rose Lounge during Valentine’s Day weekend before our dinner at Citricos.
Atmosphere
Enchanted Rose Lounge takes inspiration from the live action Beauty and the Beast film. There are two distinct rooms for the lounge, and we ended up in the room that represents the formal library. It had plenty of cozy spots to sit, relax, and grab some libations before our dinner.
We both really like the theming of the Enchanted Rose Lounge. The contrast of pastel blue, golden yellow, and rose red is really pretty.
The library seating area includes lots of comfortable chairs, couches, and seating arrangements for small and larger groups.
It also includes lots of windows for views of the Grand Floridian Resort. Everything feels very inviting and cozy.
We ended up sitting at a couch near a beautiful display of library books and art. Although I hadn’t planned it, I think my dress ended up matching the decor inside of Enchanted Rose Lounge!
The Food
Although Enchanted Rose Lounge is owned and operated by Disney, they do not currently offer an allergy-friendly menu. However, you can talk to your server and a chef about options if you are interested in ordering any food. Our server Mary was very helpful.
But, first drinks! Brandon and I have been eying the fun cocktails on the Enchanted Rose Lounge for ages. There are a lot of unique and interesting drinks on the menu. I opted for the Aura in Me. This was made with gin, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, honey, pink peppercorn, cardamom, and lemon. If you’re allergic to egg, you’ll want to avoid this, as it does contain egg whites.
As an aside on alcohol and celiac disease, although most alcohol (spirits) with gluten containing grains are considered gluten free because of the distillation process, many with celiac disease do not feel comfortable consuming these kinds of spirits. Always use your own judgement and comfort level when consuming certain kinds of alcohol. And, of course, unless it’s specifically gluten free beer — most beer will not be gluten free.
Wow, this drink was surprisingly refreshing. I absolutely loved the combination of flavors. I was a little worried that the cardamom would be overpowering, but it wasn’t! There was so much depth of flavor in the drink. I would definitely get this drink again.
Brandon is a huge fan of Old Fashioneds. So, of course, he had to try the version from Enchanted Rose. While he said it was just OK — the price compared to other Old Fashioneds he’s had on Disney property was a little steep. Next time, he said he’d skip this again get another drink instead.
While we didn’t end up ordering a ton of small plates because we were eating at Citricos, we did decide to get the Truffle Fries. These were made in a dedicated fryer and were gluten free, fish/shellfish free, peanut/tree nut free & chicken/turkey free. These can be made dairy free with some modification.
Omigosh, were these amazing! While we’re sure there was truffle oil in the fries, what really impressed us were the small slices of actual truffle. This gave the fries a wonderful earthy taste. The truffle aioli really made these fries a homerun. And, even Brandon, who is usually not a condiment fan, absolutely adored the truffle aioli. Dip, those truffle fries with abandon! And, if you’re like us…ask for two cups of truffle aioli next time!
If truffle fries aren’t your thing, we were told that both the Brisket Sliders and Cheese Plate can be made gluten free too.

Overall
We absolutely loved the theme of Enchanted Rose Lounge. It was cozy, and a very comfortable place to get drinks and relax. While I loved my drink, Brandon’s was just OK. We both felt that the drinks were quite expensive compared to other locations on property though — and that makes Enchanted Rose a special occasion only kind of visit for us. But, we definitely want to go back for those amazing truffle fries sometime. Those were some of the best we’ve ever had.
